Southeast Asian Club is voting and deciding on a new club name. The reason for this is because we cover other countries surrounding Southeast Asia as well. The club is debating on calling this club Pacific Asian Coalition. But for now, the club is still called Southeast Asian Club.
Southeast Asian Club started a few years ago as a club for students to get a better understanding of Southeast Asian cultures and to also interact with each other. Some of the cultures we look at are from Japan, China or the Philippines. Meetings are usually every Tuesday at 3:10. New members are always welcome.
Southeast Asian Club has many upcoming events this year. We have finally decided on a design for our official club shirt. Money will be collected very soon. Also, our deciding field trip to Chinatown will be after winter break. Permission slips will be given out as soon as the date is set. Southeast Asian club is now hard at work on the assembly coming up soon. There will be several dances and many skits about the Southeast Asian culture.
Southeast Asian Club welcomes all new members. Our meetings usually include snacks and watching videos of traditions that are practiced in these countries the club looks at. If you are interested in joining, come to a meeting.
